Both Odysseus and augustine make journeys in which the g/God participates, sometimes guiding them in ways they see only later, and other times appearing in ways they recognize at once. We’ve been calling these recognizable interventions “epiphanies”. Write an essay of about 1000 words in which you compare and contrast the nature and meanings of epiphany in the stories of these two characters. You may consider the forms and circumstances of epiphany (how the Gods appear or make themselves known; in what situations and settings etc.) any relevant cultural context (e.g, religious,historical, or literary contexts), and/or these epiphanies’ consequences
